DIY Fall Leaf Name Frame! A great way to enjoy getting outside and adding some authentic beauty by YOU to your home!

All you really need is 5 Easy things!

  • Picture Frames
  • Hot Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
  • Letter Stickers or Paint
  • Scissors
  • LEAVES

And 5 Easy Steps!

STEP 1- Retrieve the Leaves (ADVENTURE TIME)

Get outside!!! Go on an awesome nature walk with a lot of trees or even drive around and spot some trees. The goal here is to find as many beautiful leaves as you can. You’re going to want all different colors, shapes, and sizes! Bring a bag with you. Press all the leaves you find for about 2-3 days in a big heavy book or put something heavy on a book.

STEP 2- Where to look for nice Frames

You need some picture frames. I suggest getting anything bigger than a 6×8 just so you have more room and can see the leaves. You can find Cheap picture frames at The Goodwill or thrift stores. I even got a few from the dollar tree!

STEP 3- Prepping Picture Perfect

Spread the leaves all out and take out the back of the frame. You’re going to want to just go through a place the leaves all over the back of the frame like you would do in a collage. Remember you have scissors, so if some of the leaves are hanging off the frame we can just cut them to size.

STEP 4- Now Putting in the Work

DIY

After you cut the leaves down and it’s ready to be glued you’re going to want to do it nice and slowly. Try not to crack any of the leaves. If you do, it will still turn out beautiful. You’re going to glue the bottom ones down first. Only the ones you can. You’re still going to keep all the leaves overlapping. But go around to all the edges and glue them like you would with a collage. Be careful with the glue Gun. I would even suggest a popsicle stick or toothpick to help you press down the edges of the leaves in the glue. Then let it dry.

STEP 5- This Project has YOUR name on it!!!!

After all the glue has dried, put the frame back together and there you have it! A picture frame of leaves!!! But something’s missing.. Oh yeah the name! Putting a name or a date or something on the frame is what really does it. The glitter looks fantastic. 10/10 recommendation. For the letters I suggest going to Joanns Fabric or Micheals. They seem to have the cheapest rate. Amazon even has some really cool ones. (Examples Below)

Even acrylic paint will work. Just a few coats until you can’t see the glass. And boom! You got it!
